After suffering for weeks with a trapped nerve in her neck the wife was referred to Jamie to have a look. She was relying on daily medication and sedation to manage the pain. One thirty minute appointment and a number of cracks later she could not believe the difference. We went away with a few exercises to help manage the issue and she has never suffered since (touch wood). She stopped using the medication and sedation two days after the appointment, and is so happy with the difference made. We would definitely recommend and use again in future. Thanks 😊

I’ve had a bad back for a number of years!

When it goes I used to be out of action for at least a week, which would effect my work but now since I have been seeing Jamie he has really sorted me out. It does still go from time to time but now the recovery is a day or so after some treatment from him.

I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Jamie Haughey

Jamie completed a Sport and Exercise Sciences BSc before completing a Physiotherapy MSc. Having 16 years of NHS experience and working predominantly within the musculoskeletal area he has a large depth of knowledge in musculoskeletal conditions. He has worked alongside orthopaedic and plastic surgery consultants in County Durham Foundation Trust.

He has experience in manual therapy, including mobilisation and manipulative techniques, sports rehabilitation, acupuncture, sports massage and has completed a post graduate diploma in injection therapy.

Jamie has worked in the GP practices as a first contact physiotherapist so has a knowledge in non-musculoskeletal conditions. Currently Jamie works within the NHS as an Extended Scope Practitioner and specialises in spines.

Jamie is a fully registered member of both The Health & Care Professional Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapist.



Laura Mackley

Laura completed a Sport and Exercise Sciences BSc in 2012 before completing a Physiotherapy BSc at Northumbria University.

Laura continues to work within the NHS on community wards and carries out home assessment visits to enable the client continue with their independence. She has an avid interest in neurology/stroke rehabilitation and Elderly care Rehabilitation.

Laura has completed training in The Bobath Concept for neurological conditions.

She also has valued experience within orthopaedic rehabilitation.

Laura is a fully registered member of both Thee Health & Care Professional Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapist.

Alec Ward

Alec is a qualified musculoskeletal physiotherapist completing his MSc in Physiotherapy and BSc in Sports and Exercise Sciences. Alec currently work for the NHS as an advanced musculoskeletal physiotherapist.

Alec wide range of experience in treating all types of musculoskeletal related pain whether this is an acute injury or pain that has been ongoing for a while. Alec has keen interest in not only improving your musculoskeletal pain but also your overall health! He has been actively involved in public health projects in the NHS driving his interest in this area. He looks forward to working with yourself and devising a plan that is appropriate to your current level of activity to get you back to doing the things you value and enjoy.

For appointments cancelled or rescheduled within a 24hr period, we charge 50% of the service charge. We understand that things come up last minute or unexpectedly which prevent you from attending your appointment. We do this as a late cancellation will unlikely to be filled.
